There were way too many serious bugspresent in original Arachne 1.70 release.I have decided to upload new version of1.70 distribution package.

It wouldn't make sense to increase version number to 1.71 or something like that, because original 1.70 distribution package should be replaced by this 1.70 Revision 3 package. There were just too many serious bugs in original 1.70 package to let it exist at one of official Arachne release and archive it - original 1.70 package should be totaly replaced by the new one.

In near future, I am going to release 1.71 beta for DOS, which will experimentaly replace current DOSPPPD driver, which is large and no longer supported by its author, by smaller and more recent LSPPP package. As I am also going to rework Arachne TCP/IP configuration a lot, this release is not expected to work instantly for all users, and many bug reports are expeted.

Another planned release is 1.71 beta for Linux. It will be based on source code of 1.70 for DOS (revision 3, of course ;-), and it should include much more functionality of DOS Arachne, than Linux build 1.66 beta. I am also planning to release more variation of Linux build, trying to make it work with older and smaller libc 5 distribution, still popular among users of older PCs, and I will also try to port Linux Arachne to FreeBSD unix.
